The Angela Fleischman lab at UC Irvine is dedicated to understanding the pathogenesis of myeloproliferative neoplasms  (MPN or MPD) which includes polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, myelofibrosis). Our focus is on the role of inflammation in MPN.

Sang Mee completed her medical degree at Seoul National University College of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea. She furthered her training with a residency and fellowship in Laboratory Medicine at Seoul National University Hospital. She served as the head of the Diagnostic Hematology Laboratory at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital in Seongnam, Korea. Currently, she has joined the Fleschiman Lab as a research scholar, where she focuses on interpreting NGS data related to myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs).
